The cursed Goddess
The tulips and bleeding hearts swayed as the knight walked past them, towards her shrine, Golden flowers in hand. The chimes sang a delicate melody to announce his arrival. The knight's armour shimmered as he stepped into the dark hall. The sun shone on him from behind, casting a halo around him when he took off his helmet to reveal a familier and friendly face that had not changed since the goddess was free to roam. The Jester and the witch
The mask was hard to see through. After countless drinks between songs, I could barely see the guests' masks as I spun and twirled amongst them, strumming my lute. The skeleton Army
The hoard moved in unison down the long road. Every bone sang each time they took a slow step forward. I snuck out of bed every night to watch the skeleton army from the small window. They never looked up, they never said a word, but they patrolled the city all the same. I asked everyone at school if they had ever seen the skeleton army, but I was the only one. I drew them every chance I had at school, hoping that at some point, Miss Bailey or Mum would believe me. When I
